In 2002 at Burningman I performed with MV2 [MagmaVOX 2, called such due to the fact that the core MagmaVOX members were performing at Sea World and unable to make it to Burningman this year]. We were on one of the raised stages in front of the man before he burned. MV2 consisted of a number of top notch performers from all over the country. We had a blast and judging by the crowd's reaction, put on a great show. Here are some pictures of the show. Here is a group shot taken before the show, unfortunately not all of us were present for the picture [I am in the middle of the bottom row]. Note the trampoline. We got special permission from Crimson Rose to use a trampoine during the show. It was behind the stage [from the audience's perspective] and allowed us to do some cool mountung and dismounting of the stage. On the main stage: David Wilson started the show by performing as King Neptune. His live journal chronicles the forming of the MV2 crew, among other things... Butterfly did some ballet influenced firefingers: Michael Greenwood used his 12 foot rope I did a blindfolded staff routine, and Jake braved the stage to do safety for me. Seani was spinning chucks Adam blew blasts and spun staff Michael and Jake did acrobatics and Michael spun poi And, Monique belw blasts After our show was over we had the best seats in the house when the man burned: This one was taken from the platform after the crowd rushed the man.
